Ahh...Phoneix. I saw Sasha and Digweed right here in little ole Kansas City, Missouri, on Monday night. For those of you outside of the USA, Kansas City is nothing to brag about - it's less than 800,000 people and it's easy to confuse us with a _real_ city. Be that as it may, Sasha and Digweed were probably the best act I have ever seen, beat the pants of the Chem Brothers, smoother than Paul Oakenfold and certainly better lights than Carl Cox. I could shoot myself for not having gone to Chicago and seen Kraftwerk a few years ago when I had a chance. If only I could compare.... I remember some guy making a comment about my Man Machine T-shirt... "a kraftwerk shirt! I haven't seen one of those in a looooong time" I was so wasted at that point that all I could do was smile back at him... Just as a sidenote, when the Brothers played "Music Response", they did it without the vocals... probably because of that controversy with its similarity to "Musique Non Stop", dunno. Also, there was a song which remind me A LOT to Jean Michel Jarre's "Revolution". Those brothers are something else, aren't they? I thought id change the subject briefly... I had the pleasure of wathching the Tour De France video yesterday on VH1 part of there top ten 80's electronica bands... Part from the fact the video kinda only lasted less than 2 mins I just hate to think how sore the guys were from cycling about eveywhere on some road somewere, anyhow one of them seemed happy though.. Last night I went to a Chemical Brothers concert here in Phoenix, and I must admit didn't liked as much. A few tunes here and there, but the rest was pretty boring. The thing I liked about them the most was their gear set up. Pretty impressive, although all they did was tweaking knobs on a mixing console, while the synths and the rest of boards were blinking leds like crazy. Their opening act, Sasha & Digweed, on the other hand, certainly pleased me with plenty of blissed melodies and punchy baselines. well ... u can also enjoy the sun & the "virtual" life ... if u have a laptop that u can take out on the balcony together with some cool drinks ( ah ... that topic again !!! ;-) or whatever u like & get busy postin' to other groups or online friends , so u surely DON'T get to deprived from the lack of "news" here , as "rolf & florian" have very obviously "goin' hawaiian" !!! *G+* ;-) LAPTOP?.....BALCONY?.....COOL DRINKS?
