Rob did write, *he he* "A possible tracklisting, based on the classic 6-track formula established by 1978's "The Man Machine" (the tracks could be quite long) Kraftwerk - "Webwide World" 1 Webwide World 2 Cellphone 3 Text Message 4 Dialogue 5 Phonetics 6 E-Mail We can work on the track names later" I don't believe this would be the case. All these ideas are old and are part of our every day life. I believe themes would be based on leading edge ideas (hence my earlier suggestion of genetics). But on the theme of communication.. what about biologic links to computers?.. scientists are experimenting with this right now.. there are even artificial eyes now! Stevie Wonder has had one of the first prototypes. Wouldn't this be a good theme... AND fall in to an updated "Man Machine" concept? Keep Werking John www.keepwerking.co.uk

Taking Oh Jay's suggestion, the following subjects may be covered by Kraftwerk in a new album about the "Global Network" of modern communication: The Internet E-Mail Mobile Phones (including text messages and other stuff) Pagers (not sure when they were invented??) There is obviously material there, but I am worried about Kraftwerk becoming stereotyped (but since when did they care about what people thought of them?) www.kraftwerk.com seems now to be working just the same as before. www.kraftwerk.de at the moment contains only a cover page - clicking on the antenna gives a "Page not found" error - but... the old .de site is available at http://kraftwerk.ton-art.de/ - the heading says "kraftwerk_neu" but there's nothing *new* in it. Who are these "ton-art" guys anyway? Ciao, Luca
