Re: Re: [KLF] OT: Requestr for Ce Ce Rogers 'Someday'
Hmmm. Got it off of eMule over the weekend without much trauma. It appears to be all over Soulseek too. It's bugging the crap out of me as I know I have it on 12" vinyl somewhere but can't find it! Tracklisting was to be something like: Adonis - No Way Back Marshall Jefferson - Move Your Body Farley Jackmaster Funk - Love can't turn around Ce Ce Rogers - Someday !!!!! Krush - House Arrest KLF - 3AM Eternal (Pure Trance 1989) Frankie Knuckles - your Love Ralph Rosario - U Used to Hold Me Inner City - Big Fun and a load of other stuff chucked in. Hi all, Just so random stuff I've found/discovered/heard/seen recently. 1. The Outlaws - Too Many Fools Following Too Many Rules Found this on the "listen here" shelf last night at hmv. Listened to the first 10 seconds of the first few tracks and decided I needed it. I had thought there might be a klf sample but didn't listen enough to that track to be sure. Didn't think to check the archives/net for any references. Went back today and got the cd and sure enough, it's the YoungMC track as mentioned on the list a few weeks ago. Its an odd cd. Still playing it through for the first time. No cd booklet, no credits, no label info, no sample clearance no nothing. Some of the mixes sound good but other bits sound like simply 2 tracks playing at the same time. Not necessarily a good thing. Would love to see a sample breakdown of the whole album. There's certainly more than just the two main songs sampled per track. 2. Melbourne specific sticker spotting I've been spotting "KILLTV" stickers everywhere. The font is very KLF, and the I is replaced by a celtic looking cross with a pyramid in the centre. Not sure if its an allseeing eye but it sure looks um..inspired ;-) 3. sample spotting the non australians might have difficulty confirming this but I thought I heard a klf sample in.... Sonic Animation - Senses may be numbed (around 1:54-2:07mins) It was kinda faint but maybe it is sampled. 4. Sweatfest OZ Well did every other list member in au get mail bombed by friends asking if they were going to see "THE klf" ? I got sick of it. Even people in other states were emailing me. I made sure that people understood that it wasn't the KLF, how many original members from the other bands were touring, and then sent them to klf.de [thanks guys]. 5. really melbourne specific - TISM TISM are playing on the 2nd & 3rd July at the hifi bar. I'm saving money for ruxcon [plug plug www.ruxcon.org.au plug plug] and i don't think I can stretch for TISM. But it might. if any melbourne ppl are planning to go contact me offlist anyway :) Cheers brendan
