The more I listen to Scooter - Weekend, the more I like it. Someone knows him here on the list? I first heard a song called Weekend by Dj Dick back in 1992. then, it was redone about 3 years ago. I like his version. I doubt that it has been played here in Austin. Is his stuff released stateside? Hello This is VIVA about Weekend and "Respect to the man in the icecream-van": http://tinyurl.com/6h0g (shortlink to google-cache)
Diesmal: "Respect to the man in the icecream-van".
In a few words: they call "Respect to the man in the icecream-van" a nonsense slogan. I think it is embarrassing for a music channel on TV ... Yeah, at least Scooter gives out a little more credit this time... although only the illuminated members of the (k)ommunity will truly understand... --- Thomas Touzimsky "Some millennia, you should better stay in bed."
I also see upon d/ling a few other tracks that upon listening to weekend (full Version) he ripped off Push - Strange World 2000!! HOOK, Line and sinker. LOL !! :-o RMStringer ************************** "Rationalization is giving a socially acceptable reason for socially unacceptable behavior, and socially unacceptable behavior is a form of insanity". DJ Dick's "Weekend" was a very cool track. The Scooter melody is taken from Earth & Fire's "Weekend". I don't want to go off topic so: Did I read something about an icecream van in Scooter's videoclip? -- Torsten Pattberg www.klf.de

Only a message... the last line is "Respect to the men in the ice cream van", and it is also written onscreen in the video... like some bad karaoke. :-) --- Thomas Touzimsky "Some millennia, you should better stay in bed."
It gets even better with "Weekend". The last line in the booklet says "Discovered, Developed & Delivered by Scooter" Hmmm... now where did I hear that line before...? --- Thomas Touzimsky "Some millennia, you should better stay in bed."
Go d/l push - strange world and you will see that "scooter did steal a great deal of the tune....note for note. Then Push - Strange World was also a rip of EW&F IT came out 11/2 years ago.
