Re:[KLF] new order tracey emins cat
Is this actually a KLF record or what? I think I've missed the thread here... Hawx Original message from: ben
Evil dust is just a realy poor (comparitively) instrumental of Angel dust. I just want to play the video at least once and I thought with all this talk of VCD I may get to see it.

Bastard! In the nicest sense of the word. You have "Evil Dust" on CD. :)
The Gold 7" is probably worth £500, going on what people pay for Tracey Emin's "Missing Cat" posters.

Anyone know how I can watch a golden 1988 VCD (similar to doctorin the tardis but if I am completely hoest its New order True Faith) on a Mac? Also for insurance purposes (Like on antiques roadshow) how much are the
following worth , Kylie Said to Jason (Remix in custom 12 sleeve) Kylie said (CD single), 1991 the Works (VHS promo no sleeve with extra vids at the end inc Kylie
said, madrugada edit, Stadium house 3). Also I have mounted LTTT 7" on a board sprayed it gold and poured coffee
on it then sawed it in half, how much do you reckon I would get for that, maybe at a gallery or a record fare. Cheers Ben aka Switchroom aka jamjam23 aka worstenemy aka papercut magazine aka fantastic trevors aka noisebag aka dave aka you get the picture http://www.worstenemy.co.uk not updated for ages mainly due to legal issue relating to past projects 5+

No, it's nothing to do with the KLF. Tracey Emin is a "modern artiste" (and I use the term in a derogatory fashion) who is most famous for her "conceptual art" pieces, including things like unmade beds, etc. Anyway, she lost her cat, so she put up posters in the streets around her home notifying people of her loss, only they didn't do much good because people starting ripping the posters down to collect and on-sell them. Some were apparently valued at 500 quid. Anyway, her management have released a statement saying the posters are "not art", though it sounds to me like she probably put more creativity, thought and emotion into one of these posters than she puts in her regular crap. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/entertainment/arts/newsid_1898000/1898461.s tm for more info. So the original poster was just highlighting what people will pay for very silly items... Incidentally, you'll also find the following link on the BBC web site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/documentaries/lamacq_docs_orb.shtml Probably very old news for most of us, but worth a listen if you have a spare half hour. Has a bit at the start about Jimmy and one mention of Bill. Michael
Hi again all,
Is this actually a KLF record or what? I think I've missed the thread here...
Rereading this now, I see that you were asking about "Angel Dust", not Tracey Emin! This highlights two problems: 1) Subject line creep (where the subject line no longer describes the topic inside the e-mail) causing confusion. 2) Replying to e-mails before midday on a Sunday, especially on Easter Sunday, when all my brain cells are not yet activated. And in answer to your actual question, "Angel Dust" is a song by New Order and has nothing to do with The KLF. Michael
