http://www.discogs.com/Lemon-Jelly-The-Staunton-Lick/release/1362640 Anyone have a copy of this? I'd love to hear the radio edit!
According to the page, Nick King, trcd and Orbtastic have copies. I imagine that one of those chaps are on this list. I'd love a decent rip of it myself! On Fri, Jul 23, 2010 at 8:29 AM, John Milne <paranormalhandy@gmail.com> wrote:

Hey, I was feeling nostalgic the other day. To the other Americans on this list, do you remember the first time you heard the KLF on the radio? For years they had been this obscure (at least here in the USA) secret obsession of mine. I was lucky to have some astute record store owners who would bring over all the 12" singles so I was able to amass a good collection. I'll just never forget driving to school one morning and hearing 3AM Eternal on the radio. It shocked me and thrilled me at the same time. I kept thinking "well, the secret's out now" hehe. Other students who had wondered what my stickers/patches meant suddenly were clued in as well. Anyway, I'm just curious about whether anyone else had a similar experience. jr
The White Room was popular in the US within a few months of its release. I believe at least two singles released from that reached the US top 40. On Thu, Aug 5, 2010 at 11:11 PM, Jeremiah Rickert <rickert@agora.rdrop.com>wrote:

Well yes, I was just wondering whether anyone remembers the first time they heard The KLF on pop radio in the US. It was a pretty cool moment for me. jr
Ahhh: You knew of their early material and was pleasantly surprised by hearing them on US radio then? I can get with that. On Sat, Aug 7, 2010 at 7:10 AM, Jeremiah Rickert <rickert@agora.rdrop.com>wrote:

I remember hearing Justified & Ancient on the radio. I went out and bought The White Room and was disappointed that it was a different version! I then bought the J&A singles CD and grew to love The White Room.
