Last week I finally received my copy of the DFC Ambient House collection which filled another gap in my collection, since this is the only CD source for LTTT's Pure Trance remix (the one that runs 5:50), which made me think about all the remixes and wether or not they are all available on CD. Maybe someone wants to help me out with my thoughts here... - What Time Is Love?... so many remixes, it's hard to keep track of all of them. Those that come to mind that were never released on CD are the wandaful/virtual reality mix. I am not sure about the moody boys edit that can only be found on Deep Heat 8. I got the double vinyl, and it is the edit, but I think I remember someone posting that the version on CD is infact the full mix. - Kylie Said To Jason had only two mixes on CD (edit and Kylie Said Trance), all the others were 7"/12" only. - 3AM Eternal... many of the later remixes are available on CD (except the promo mix on Hit Factory for Arista US), but except for the '1989 break for love mix', the other Pure Trance mixes remain vinyl only. I won't count the re-version of Alex Paterson's 'blue danube orbital mix' on the Auntie Aubrey compilation, since it is notably different from the original remix. - Last Train To Trancentral I think is the only single of which ALL remixes are available on CD somewhere. The original was released on the 1991 single, while the remix can be found on that Ambient House compilation. And the later mixes were all available on CD as well, even the benio over and out mix. - America: What Time Is Love? has many 12" only remixes, especially PROMO 2 and 3 of course. There are some shorter edits on the other promos as well (5 & 7 minutes) - Justified & Ancient - depends on wether or not you count three CD-Rs of the anti acapella mix as "they are available"... nevertheless, the 'make mine a 99 edit' is 12" only, which rules out J&A as well. - Burn The Bastards is only available on CD on Shag Times and the History Of The JAMS compilation, and that's only two mixes Some more trivia... - Whitney Joins The JAMS is the only JAMS single of which all mixes are available on CD. - All mixes of Doctorin' The Tardis are available on CD as well If I forgot something, or if you find an error, please correct me. Just felt to write down some totally useless trivia. Sorry. ..::// Thomas Touzimsky Just because people don't understand you doesn't make you an artist. (Unknown)
