Re: RE: [KLF] Mummy Don't/Hello (Good To Be Back) Samples
where do (a) the "Eternaaaals" (presumably recorded 88/89 - by the same "chorus" as "Doctoring the Tardis"?)
Those *could* have been taken from an early recording. Keep in mind that Graham Lee told us that they recorded at least one unkown "flamenco" version of 3AM of which the date is unkown... But...
and (b) the Jesus Loves You samples come from?
This, however, is a really good point, since "After The Love" has been released in 1989. Since the Blue Danube Orbital remix of 3AM got released in May 1989, Mummy Don't was probably recorded earlier that year. Unless of course Mummy Don't is a remix of 3AM instead. ..::// Thomas
I like the loop throughout the beginning. Can hear IGUN samples also. What I don't like is that the samples follow one after another. There's just a basic loop filled up with all sorts of different samples. I'm wondering where the title originates. It's not an ususal KLF songtitle I guess... Maarten

Also, surely no coincidence that 3AM (BDO Mix) appears on Auntie Aubrey's Excursions? -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces+chris=k23productions.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces+chris=k23productions.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Ulrik Brandt Hansen Sent: 20 October 2005 18:05 To: All bound for Mu-Mu Land. from the orb mailing list : Mummy don't comes from the tripping on sunshine sessions for which Jimmy and Alex recorded I think 4 songs and indeed this song is were 3 A.M. Eternal's riff came from , so the Orb were first. I read this in an interview in future music ( as I have posted before on here ). It might now be up on the archives on the future music website not sure. Ulrik Brandt Hansen wrote:

"Tripping On Sunshine" itself has slight "WTIL" overtones, particularly with the "swishing" tones going over the stereo picture, similar to KLF4T a-side. The below email was meant to be person, but this new laptop and new Outlook Express keeps scrolling down and have me replying to e-mails I don't want. Bugger. Don't forget the "Flamenco Version" with Rita and Graham, I really hope we one day will hear this. We don't know if this originally was a Bill/Jimmy track, or something Bill did with Graham and Rita alone. By the way: Does there exist a recording af the "Elvis Session" by Bill and Graham ???? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sebastien Ledys" <seb.ledys@gmail.com>

Better late than never... I had a very close listen to the KLF remix of PSB's "It Must Be Obvious" this week on my iPod, and somewhere in the first half of the mix, you can clearly hear a (low but present) "Mummy Don't" sample. :-) ..::// Thomas
