Hmm but 3AM is not the new single or am I wrong!? According to the Scooter Homepage the new Single is called Nessaja.
Exactly Nessaja (3am mix).
Isn't that a bit TOO obvious, calling a version "3AM" mix? Goodness... Some day when I have loads of spare time I'll probably make a section called "23 things Scooter stole from the KLF", maybe I'll even have to call it 123 things! Dan --- a.k.a. Kuta, KLF Online (www.klf.de)

Blah, KLF stoled almost every-fucking-thing they did! I dont hear you whine about that, but when it's Scooter!!!! BULLSHIT. I LIKE Scooter's work. I liked them before they sampled any KLF, and now I like them even more. I dont give a fuck if Boyzone will decide to do a remake of J&A, fuck maybe I'll like that too! And btw, Kuta, you stoled from the KLF too on your tracks or maybe when YOU do it it's ok and you call it SAMPLE. Rezpect, David.

Ahem... "Scooter stoled almost every-fucking-thing they did!" Either chords, melodies, samples, lyrics, video clips... almost every Scooter single that went big was stolen in one way or the other. The Age of Love - melody of Terminator theme by Brad Fiedel Back in the UK - melody of Miss Marple How much is the fish - melody of an old folk song (german ?) Posse - bassline of What Time Is Love by James Cauty / William Drummond Ramp! (the logical song) - melody and vocals of another oldie of which I forgot the artist Nessaja - melody and vocals (translated) of a song by Peter Maffay Samples / Parts of vocals ("All aboard, all aboard", "Ok everybody lie down on the floor and keep calm", "Kick out the JAMS", hard drum from What Time Is Love - and this is just the KLF section!) ... Should I go on ?

Now that´s not the point we are all complaining about. Kerosene did a cover of 3 a.m. eternal and I think it is brilliant, but they didn´t went out and entered the charts with it without giving credit to the original artist.

See answer above. The problem is that Scooter don´t tell that IT IS STOLEN. They go out and sell it as their own ideas, milking other artists and their work (Brad Fiedel, Cauty/Drummond, Ultrasonic, ...). The idea for "Hyper Hyper" was a total rip off, and where would Scooter be nowadays without this piece of music ? NOWHERE.

Supertramp :-) BTW they are on tour again, another 80ies revival...

I agree that Scooter does not really bring a lot of new stuff into the music scene. I don't say it's just bullshit but it's quite clear for me that they will never ever reach the same level like KLF. KLF had style, Scooter definitely not... I can dance to Scooter if I'm in a discotheque and I have fun maybe but a comparison to the KLF is ridiculous. Just watch how they behave in interviews and that says enough IMHO. cu Adrian -- Adrian Gschwend @ OS/2 Netlabs ICQ: 22419590 ktk@netlabs.org ------- The OS/2 OpenSource Project: http://www.netlabs.org

Don't forget theat the KLF didn't invent 3am, it's always been present, just between 2am and 4am, a time when lots of people are quite mashed and when a particularly chilled out mix might be appreciated. In the case of Scooter though, it's got to be an intentional KLF reference ;) -- Bullshit makes the flowers grow & that's beautiful
