Patterson DJ-ed at Dundee University on Hallowe'en 1994. His set that night was mostly hardhouse (he played "Crash Bang" by Conemelt and Sven Vath's "Barbarella", I recall) and he started it off by scowling, wearing a Clockwork Orange t-shirt, and flicking V-signs at everyone. John

Only had the chance to hear LX Patterson actually mix vinyl once, at a party in SF probably around 94 or so. Piss poor mixing, I have to admit. So bad that the crowd was reacting so negatively that he flipped a few people off. Very shocking, given SFs ambient scene at the time.

I have been encoding lots of old cassettes onto my Mac and i came across a cassette that i was sent about 7 years ago from a guy i used to buy KLF records from.
This is what he wrote on the cassette:
"Dat recording of private tapes by klf/orb recorded in tracnetral on sat 26.8.89 and at a private party in the same year in brighton"
Its mainly late 80's acid house with 3am Blue Danube and A Huge Evergrowing.... as recurring themes throughout. its obviously just a DJ mix but i dont know anythign about it. some pretty poor mixing on it too! hehehe :)
i dont know if it is legit or not as i only have the cassette with the above written on it.
download it here:

anybody know anything about that date? might be interesting to try to find out what it is. unfortunately the quality is pretty poor

That's actually fascinating. When he played in SF around the same time he played a mostly Drum n Bass and Ambient set. This was before DnB blew up in San Francisco, and the crowd was not into it. -s- -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces+shilo101=comcast.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces+shilo101=comcast.net@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of John Milne Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 3:38 PM To: All bound for Mu-Mu Land.
