What is the deal with the Smile CD? How has Mr Wilson managed to wrestle this away from the filthy hands of Mike 'Hate' Love?

Better than Mike "Missing" Dutton, though! ;-) The Smile CD, from what I gather, is new recordings with Brian and a backing band consisting of the Wondermints. There's much discussion on this on other lists and Groups I'm involved with, but apparently most people think it's a good thing. The original recordings were a work in progress, and despite scores of 60s-eras bootlegs, there's no definitive "Smile" by the Beach Boys. And there never will be.
