Original idea: An "ordinary" KLF greatest hits/single edits mix, covering the whole of Drummond and Cauty's career, celebrating the 20th anniversary of them working together. This would be around 20 tracks, starting with the edit version of AYNIL and ending with the edit of FTM. These tracks would be pressed up by various interested members of the List, from a central downloadable collection of mp3s/Wavs/flacs whatever, along with a sleeve and cover art. The sleeve would reflect the slightly "downmarket" style of the compilation. It's meant to be something people pick up for around £5 ($3) at a garage or truckstop, along with cheap Johnny Cash or Waylon Jennings CD - hence the title "Truckstop JAMs". On one specific day, everyone who's interested will burn up 20 copies, then go out and distribute them. Each case would have a sticker saying "BURN THIS AND PASS IT ON". These free CDRs would be placed in the racks of record shows, and indeed anywhere else you think you might have interested (or even non-interested) parties picking up the CD. After that, though, the idea has grown ... but that was the original concept from, ooh, about 4 weeks ago. John

Would someone please explain me more about this project? I've been busy (work, illnesses etc.) and I don't have the time to read each and every letter...only one reply, even offlist will do for me... What's this CD, what's the person-track thing, will it be available, where...PLEASE.

Trance Kylie Express for me.
(Although, I think we're sort of wandering too far from the singles collection/cheap-o best of concept ... but hey-ho)
