RE: [KLF] Contemplating sale of KLF Vinyl- Advice please
I took my records and CDs off my home-owners insurance because they wouldn't insure them for full value. They insisted on the collection being appraised by a "certified appraiser" who had no clue about electronic music. If you collected classic-rock or old jazz records it was no problem, but anything electronic was completely alien to him and therefore worthless. Now I use a company that specializes in insuring just collectibles. I pay about $80 a year to insure a sizeable collection. I even made a claim on some rare items lost in the mail and they paid with no hassle whatsoever. Here's the website http://www.collectinsure.com/ "There is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe the joy of watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality." Subject: RE: [KLF] Contemplating sale of KLF Vinyl- Advice please I have been keeping an eye on eBay just in case but - to be honest - proving something on sale there was previously stolen would be nigh impossible. I would relish the idea of "collecting" the stuff personally. Fourtunately, the items were covered on the house insurance and that does seem to be going through okay (even though they were off the property at the time), it's just the sentimental value that's the killer. My feelings are for my mate though - he's now without any equipment and, as any DJs on the list will know, if you ain't got any equipment, you can't DJ and if you can't DJ, you ain't getting paid...
