Just in case anyone is interested saw this: -- How to Have a Number One Time: 22:00 to 23:40 (1 hour and 40 minutes long). When: Saturday 23rd March on Channel 4 Vic Reeves looks at what it takes to have a No 1 record, and to what lengths artists and the industry will go to achieve this aim. Including the rivalry between Blur and Oasis in the summer of 1995, and the establishment's efforts to block the Sex Pistols' route to the top of the chart. With contributions from Bob Geldof, Cliff Richard, Pete Waterman, John Lydon, Nicki Chapman and Ian Broudie -- The KLF connection (apart from Broudie obviously) is that the trailer I just saw for this had some clips from 'Doctorin The Tardis'. So I guess the programme will mention the Timelords in some fashion. Cheers, Drew _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? How to Have a Number One Vic Reeves looks at what it takes to have a No 1 record
I recall seeing an interview with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer years ago where they said that were planning on doing a programme/series about making number one records (and also Eurovision/novelty songs) and would also be releasing a single in a similar vein along with it at the same time. Looks as if this idea has now come to some kind of fruition! :-)
