i dunno man thats pretty cynical. in the best people i know just swap, especially when it comes to items out of the norm like what ya mentioned. Money was invented because traders kept getting robbed, now its used to fuck all sorts of things up and it would be a better place without it. I dont think the burning of the cash was on the news that much, i could be wrong but im sure they media werent sucked into it. It was broadcasted on the BBC late one night though. Its like what i mentioned about charity, yeah you could of given the money to the needy etc but your only buying a certain amount of happiness, because of the monetary system loads of people will always be homeless. a: what do you want to do S smoke weed and drink A how will you buy those things without money S I grow weed and my mate brews beer. You could always be clever and say 'well i dont agree, how do you buy your yeast?' but dont bother cos you can steel it from holland and barrett. or ulitimately swap whoever the fuck makes yest for the thing that you make with the yeast. so balls to money, i must admit i could do with a load but i'd sooner be surrounded by good people who'll help me out anyday. why did they burn it? I dont know. But I think an interesting by product of it is that it outdoes all supposedly anti capitalist metal bands. Think about it, Rage Against The Machine complained about capitalism for 10 years, and in 55 minutes B&J made RATM's whole career redundant.

The one thing that no human can truly live without is money and therefore the media chose to ignore the questions raised. Even the supposedly Gen X/Slacker mentality doesnt durvive without money.
