Google maps has launched its "Street View" service in the UK today. Those of you interested might like to know you can now (virtually) walk down Jeffreys Road in London, and stand outside Trancentral!
Thanks for this. Been playing on street view all afternoon like a complete saddo! Now I can go and check out the benio bunker too! http://maps.google.co.uk/ Type in "55 Jeffreys Road, SW4" and then click "Street view" on the small pop-up. You're actually "looking" across the road when the application starts, so turn around 180 degrees, and there's the Benio right in front of you. Only big cities at the moment, I think (although the NE of Scotland is pretty extensively covered, meaning the house I grew up in in Brechin is on show) - but be warned ... you can lose hours! First person to spot a drunk probably wins a prize, too. John On Fri, Mar 20, 2009 at 8:58 AM, Jon doe <jondoe@clsmweb.fsnet.co.uk> wrote:

Can you post a link? I'd appreciate that. (probably a tinyurl would be best, those google links can be long). Thanks in advance...
