while we're going off-topic and on-Leftfield, does anyone know if the girl who's vocal is on Original did any other stuff and is it as good. there's something about her voice that totally mesmerizes me
Yes, look for a band called Curve, as she is their vocalist. her name is Toni Halliday. She also sang on the 92 Recoil album "Bloodline" (which is seriously underrated).
I used to think she was SOOOO hot... "bloodline" I think is recoil's best her solo album "hearts and handshakes" is...kinda wank unfortunately (and not just because of the title) - produced by Alan Moulder also, for another Toni/depeche mode connection, that's her whispering on the "everything counts" (absolut mix) - remixed by (guess who)...Alan Moulder! as far as curve's music goes: "doppelganger" is pretty good, so is "pubic fruit" (a collection of EPs) is too "cuckoo" is good - but DARK - and those two aforementioned albums are already fairly dark, so you can imagine...
Alan Wilder remixed one track off her solo album and sounds like the best Kraftwerk/DM track ever with her singing. I think. I haven't heard my 12" of it in years.
