Whenever Scooter are mentioned on the list I must admit I become rather bewildered...where is the connection? I won't push my opinions of Scooter on everyone else (probably best not to) but aside from some KLF-influenced imagery (and perhaps something in the lyrics? I forget and don't care to find out) I fail to see the connection. I mean the music is dissimilar right? What next, DJ Otzi shouts "Justified!" in one of his tracks and has a sheep on the CD cover, so he gets mentioned on the list and his music appears on the KLF section of the ftp? IMHO the best thing to come out of Scooter was the 'Moped' pastiche, effectively a techno version of Coldplay's 'Clocks' with a man shouting randomly over the top, along with the token chipmunk-pitched vocals. I would be interested to find out other regular list contributors' opinions of Scooter, perhaps clarifying the connection, although I do agree with John that they are better than most boy band crap, in the same way as, say, Aqua or Vengaboys were =) tbc. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
