Joshua - many many thanks for this interview. As I have said before, I consider Maxine to be THE voice of the KLF and she should be given far more credit for her contribution to the tracks, especially the unreleased White Room Soundtrack. Good to know her story, and also that she didn't get killed crossing the road (as I had heard reported)!! Andrew ps. Any chance this inerview can appear on KLF.de? Thomas??
Thank you Andrew, Nick, and KLF Online for your support. I've been interested in learning more about Maxine Harvey for so long so I feel a great sense of personal accomplishment to have this interview finished. It was not easy finding her. I called her former reggae producer Blacka Dread at his store in London and he said he could make the link. But after two followups I had nothing. Thank goodness that Mad Professor came through with the introduction. By the way, I have submitted the interview to the newspaper I write for, The Gleaner Extra, a free NYC weekly entertainment paper by the Gleaner Company. Although if you are not Jamaican or a big Jamaican music fan you've probably never heard of this paper. :-) When it goes to print (hopefully part one of the interview will run at the end of this week) I will let you know. Although if you read the online version you have it all. What parts of the interview surprised you the most? I guess for me it was finding out that the producer used someone else's picture on Maxine's album, Don't You Break My Heart. Another nice thing was that she was really touched to hear The White Room OST. It brought back a lot of memories. Anyway, if you guys wanna keep this topic alive I am all for it and I'll contribute and hopefully learn more!
Last night we were stood in a tube station on the underground (on the way to see Le Petit Orb) and my girlfriend spotted a a poster right behind us. All it says on it is "In 1994 the founders of the pop group KLF burnt a million pounds in the name of Art". Weird huh? Had the didgital camera on me so will post a link to the pic later. Phil.

Hi I'm the one who posted about this poster back in June; it seemed to be one of a series of posters, each one commemorating some event or other. Not done in the classic KLF style, and I'm certain that Cauty and Drummond had nothing to do with it. ps. Any chance this inerview can appear on KLF.de? Thomas??
I have put a link to it on KLF.de yesterday, but I am not sure if we will add it completely, as it is a linked resource and thereby copyrighted by the Reggaeflex website I guess. Josh, please correct me if I am wrong. Josh was kind enough to forward my request for an interview for KLF.de to her, though, so chances are good to read even more about (and from) her in the near future. So if there is something you would like to get answered, let me know. ------ Thomas Touzimsky "Sometimes I think of letting go and never looking back and never moving forward so there would never be a past."
I updated my page for the interview I did with Maxine Harvey. It now includes RealAudio samples including one you guys may not have heard before, her 1994 reggae hit, "Gimme a Little Sign." Here is the link: http://www.reggaeflex.com/maxine_harvey.php
