I've been a fan of the KLF since 1991 when they appeared on the U.S. Charts with "3 AM Eternal." Many dedicated, die-hard fans would probably say that I'm not a dedicated fan since I didn't discover them until this time. I have to blame it on my location though. I began collecting what I could get my hands on and love all of my KLF CD's and Promo singles. My favorite items to collect and enjoy are music videos. I love how they become so rare and hard to get a hold after years go by. For the first time, last week I finally got my hands on a copy of "what time is love (cornfield version)." It sucks that you have to wait so long to see the original video for one of your favorite songs. A few weeks before this I managed to download the "America, what time is love" video...the one on the boat. Although I prefer to have my music videos on tape at least I was able to watch this video as well. What video came first? Was it the cornfield version or the boat version? In the United States, only the live Woodstock Europa versions were used to promote the white room album. What album were the original promo versions used to promote? Was it for the white room or just a stand-alone single at the time? I have only heard and read about "the white room" movie. I would really love to see this so I know what everyone is talking about. What does it take to get a copy of this and other KLF music videos? I would be happy to trade some music videos with list members or pay them for their time. I really just want to enjoy KLF's early videos. Is there anyone on the list that can help me?

Lets start from the beginning: The original What Time Is Love video was just a 7 minutes oneshot of Ford Timelords (the KLF's car) driving towards the camera, and the away again (plus some sheeps). I think this came out in 1988, and was made to promote either the "pure trance serie"(that was'nt completed) or the ORIGINAL white room soundtrack (that never got out) or maybe something complety different. This was the instrumental pure trance version (found on the American Doctorin the Tardis CD) Then, in 1990/91?, What Time is Love was remixed and released as part of the Stadium House Triology, this version was the one that gave The KLF their breakthrough (the live at trancentral-version with rap). The Video for this was the "cornfield version". When the stadium house triology was complete (wtil,3am,lttt) they made the woodstock-video(can be found on the video called "the stadiom house triology"). This was just a new video for the trancentral-mix. Later, when they released "America: What Time Is Love", a completely new version of their old hit, the Boat-video was made, to manifest their breakthrough in USA (then they split up and deleted their records). To understand all this you have to know the history of the KLF, from the beginning in 1987 until 1992, and know all of their unreleased/uncompleted projects (white room movie, white room soundtrack, pure trance serie, black room album and so on), then you might have a chance, or you might just be more confused (as many of us still are). the "release" that had the boat video was released in Oct 91. i dont have any evidence but my guess would be that the cornfields video was much older.
Is there anyone on the list that can help me?
