Hi I've just had a good day, my mate called me round to look at his PC because he was having serious trouble with it (crashing, items going walkies, programs not working, totally unusable mess! (not much change from usual Windoze :D)). When I got there I found he had a virus called WINK???.EXE (the last three letters changed twice whilst I tried to disable it). I found it's name is the KLEZ virus. I thought this was quite funny considering I'm into The KLf and this was called KLez (if only the writer had thought to go one letter higher (KLFZ). I wonder with it using the letter K so much (winK and the name) if it wasn't wrote by someone into The KLF? Also just thinking anyone know of a virus dedicated to The KLF/Justified Ancients of Mu Mu? maybe it rips all the samples off your computer then leaves with "The KLF have now left the building" :D As for this KLEZ virus watch out for it. It's nasty, deletes Antivirus files before the anti- virus realises and then proceeds to delete anything else it finds or attaches itself to programs so if you disable it it can reproduce.
there is a KLF virus - its memory resident and affect .com files ----- Original Message ----- From: <darrenforster99@ntlworld.com> To: <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, June 10, 2002 8:07 PM Subject: [KLF] KLez (possibly OT)
