Hi all :) Looking through the loophole the other day I noticed that, as far as I could see, I could not find any good/lossless version of Chill Out. I obviously have this on vinyl, but a digital version would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I don't have means to digitalize it myself, as my external soundcard broke down the other day and I am relying on the on-board soundcard at the moment. Anyone? If possible, I can make an upload-folder on my ftp (I sent a separate email about this some days ago, I hope everyone go that..?). If so, let me know and I'll set ip up later on today. Else it could perhaps be upped to the loophole...? It would be greatly appreciated :) Khake
I thought I'd share the below soundcloud link with the group as I know some of you might be interested. To set the scene - I was involved from 1992-1994 with a group of people who put on some rather good underground party nights in London - the nights known as 'Zero Gravity'. The first year the party nights came from the building known as the Clerkenwell Clockshop! It was a big step away from the 'ravy/hardcore' stuff that was going on at the time. We always had the main banging dance floor, and also the infamous chillout room. We used to also have live percussionists and Didggerdoo accompanying the DJs. (Way before it became the norm). Fabulous nights that had a long term positive influential impact on a lot of people - and indeed it looks like we're having a 20th anniversary later this year Anway - I used to share a flat with one of the more experimental and quite frankly one of the best DJs of that era (DJ Quark), and I've uploaded to soundcloud a 2hr set from late 1993, that was captured on videotape late at night. The audio from the TV was also fed into the mixer as well as lots of other sources. It's a set of what Quark coined "twisted acid dub".....and for you Chillout/Space/Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld fans, I hope is a treat in store. We were all big fans of what the KLF/Orb etc had done - though I think you'll probably gather that from this set. http://soundcloud.com/23sonic23/before-quark-meets-infinity Remember this is a capture from nearly 20years ago - so I apologise for the occasional dropout/loss in quality. I hope you enjoy, Rich
Sounds really nice. Can we get a download link to go along with it?

Just a question - sorry to "hijack" this thread. And sorry fot the noob question, as it were. Did any of you get my two mails regarding 1) an ftp I have set up and 2) my request for a lossless version of Chill Out - on either the loophole or aforementioned ftp? If someone can answer me, I'd be grateful. Thanks, Khake On Fri, Mar 2, 2012 at 7:40 PM, Robert Stringer <rmstringer@gmail.com>wrote:

I've got a US WaxTrax! pressing that I'll rip and upload to the FTP this weekend. I'll try to do scans too. mbp On Mar 2, 2012, at 1:57 PM, Kjetil Johnsen <kjetil.johnsen@gmail.com> wrote:

Thanks for the download link! It's a mp3 file, not a flac. just change the extension type and you should be fine (i.e. rename it from "quark.flac" to "quark.mp3".
VERY FREAKING COOL!!! Just placed it on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone. On Fri, Mar 2, 2012 at 2:26 PM, Mark Howk <link343e@gmail.com> wrote:
