Please, Digest Mode Threshold. Please. Please. Please.
Hello "list owner and list"- I subscribe to Digest Mode in order to keep the amount of email in my inbox to a minimum. Your Digest Mode does not do this. At most I should get 3 emails a day from the list. Today I received 6 in under 2 hours: KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 5 8:20am (3 messages) KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 6 8:35am (3 messages) KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 7 9:31am (4 messages, only one of which was about KLF, the other 3 about list connectivity issues) KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 8 10:17am (3 messages, 1 about connectivity) KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 9 10:45am (4 messages) KLF Digest, Vol 131, Issue 10 10:55am (2 messages) That's 18 messages, that should have been in 1 Digest split across 6 Digests. I know I have complained about this before. Several times. I'd rather not unsubscribe to this list, but I may just have to. Is anyone "in charge" and able to check/fix the digest mode settings? Last time I wrote to klf-owner@mailman.xmission.com it bounced. Is anyone in charge? Can you check/fix this issue for me? Sadly I wonder how many more Digests this message will spawn in the next 7 hours. Thanks, Tim P.S. Don't reply to a Digest to answer one of the emails and keep the whole Digest in your reply.

Gmail (or Outlook, or any other mail client that defaults to top-posting) didn't break email etiquette. People broke it when they became lazy and stopped trimming their replies. That being said, I switched from digests to single emails to get around the issue. Sure, I get more messages this way, but at least they're legible. --j;

I have folders for different things and create filters to organize them. List always puts [KLF] on subject (and of course they're from same address) so it's very easy to keep your inbox organized. -- anttil.
Using filters to keep the list messages separate is invaluable, and I'd recommend it to anybody. That said, trimming replies is an art that appears to have been lost many years ago... On Wed, Mar 19, 2014 at 2:22 AM, Antti Lavio <antti.lavio@possu.org> wrote:
