I'm sure that Bill, Jimmy, James Brown and a photographer (not in my office so can't look at back issues for camera op's details) actually went to Sweden! See cover of JAMS LP2 for more evidence.
Also - the very beginning of the "Doctorin' the Tardis" video seems to feature some burning "1987"s behind Ford Timelord (or the Jammobile, as it was called back in the day). More evidence of Sweden? Oh, and re: Scottish bank notes. Three Scottish banks, the Clydesdale, the Bank of Scotland, and the Royal Bank of Scotland, all produce "Scottish notes" (£1 to £100). Green pound notes are still common in Scottish change, unlike England - although, there are no "Scottish coins". Interestingly, these notes are not technically legal tender in the UK - but they are still used in Scotland, a hold-over from the days before 1707, when Scotland was an independent country and had its own mint. Most people in Scotland try and get hold of Bank of England notes before travelling south, because most English shops/pubs don't really like accepting "funny money". I can't help thinking that Drummond (who talks at great length in "45" about his feelings of nationalism and his difficulty in accepting becoming success away from home) chose the notes as a wee nod to his homeland and hometown (like the references to recording albums in Dumfriesshire). John PS - On a different point - does anyone know where the cover of "The Man" was photographed? Or for that matter, the cover of the "King of Joy" 12"?
