Damn! my old CD-Writer only burns 74min CD's... what should I drop?
Get a new CD burner. (really, even a DVD writer is only $150. A CD burner is under $100). But if you don't have the funds you can mimic my edit of Whitney I literally just completed, tho I think I'll trim it a little shorter, just not sure where. Exact points mentioned will differ from your rips: Cut out the following: - approx 3.18 after Whitney sings the last "With somebody who loves me" and just before it goes into Mission Impossible. TO - approx 5.58. Whitney sings the same line, cut at the very end of this, leaving the "UUHHH!" and the breakdown, etc which follows. So, the first 3.18 and the last 1.08. total time of the edit: 4.26. This brings the time of the CD down to 76.12. (problem is, it still leaves the cd 1.12 too long to include Build a Fire, dammit. But Go to Sleep fits. hmmm) *** The 3am Pure Trance edit is a little redundant as well since it sounds more like Live at the SSL than WTIL Power sounds like Trancentral. If that made sense. That'll free up 3.5 mins. -paul
Thanks a lot, Paul! Btw, it's not about the money, just a shame to replace something that acutally still works! :P David A, Tel-Aviv, Israel. ----- Original Message ----- From: TheMgnt@aol.com To: klf@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Friday, September 24, 2004 1:41 AM Subject: Re: [KLF] KLF Greatest Hits - revisited

My 1st cd burner would burn 80 min disks. I used Easy CD Creator and it would say time over 74. SO, the player is not the limiting factor. My 1st burner was a 4x and all I could get was 74 min disks. Then 80 mins came out. I did not think that they would work. It did!! So give it a try!! Tom Robinson praises The Manual: http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/index.cfm?NewsID=9786&Page=1&pagePos=2 He also recommends musicians get a copy of, 'The Manual - how to have a No. 1 the easy way', by the KLF. "It was true then and it's still true now," he exclaimed.

Late as always, but... if you move those cuts to 3:02, you will have a much better transition, since the second part of your mix has some hihats the first part hasn't. If you use the 3:02 marker, you will have a transition at the "trumpet break", which blends completely into each other without skipping or errors. ..::// Thomas Touzimsky "My head is spinnin' so my feet don't touch the ground My eyes is blinded by the light, my hearing deafened by the sound My body's shackin' like a leaf, my heart's been beatin' out of time My blood's been boilin' up inside and I've been fearin' for my life..."
