Project: Ford Timelord - We're IN THE SIERRA NEVADA!
All, I'm almost too exhausted to type, but thought you all might like to receive this update. On Tuesday we sailed for Santander, on Wednesday we arrived and began the 560 mile journey to the south. We headed directly for the Kylie Said To Jason building......... I'm not going to lie, it was an emotional moment. Me, my brother and the car just sat there all afternoon........ http://img215.imageshack.us/f/image0232t.jpg/ We've been sleepng in the car since we arrived, and gave in tonight and checked into a hotel. Getting around the small villages in this monster of a car is not easy........ The heat is in the 30s. The picture is just one taken with my phone, there will be some proper video and a decent update when I return........ This experience is quite surreal, we're literally driving around this place aimlessly, seeing stuff that Bill and Jimmy must have seen. We've been to the castle too. The police stop us every five secands. People want pictures with the car, and if I'm honest sometimes I wish I could turn the car into a Ford Mondeo at the end of each section - it's all quite overwhelming and the attention is sometimes unnerving when you don't speak the language. We might as well be driving through Spain in a moon buggy. I'll update when I next get internet, or after I get back home - 15th April. Anyone in Southern Spain fancy putting us up for the night we'll take you for a spin in the car................. we're in Tabernas at the moment. Over and out........

Not sure if this was a genuine offer, but I've spent so many thousands on this car, another few hundred on hotel rooms isn't going to break the bank......! Thanks though, not sure if the vid will be up to much, it's going to be quite amateur at best....... but it's the effort that counts. I've got plenty of questions for Bill and Jimmy when I get back: here's one: How the hell did you get the car up to the Sierra Nevada Observatory? We've tried twice and broken down/overheated on each occasion due to the sheer steepness of the climb to get there. I'm not attempting a third time........, these are our wheels to get home, and I want to bring the car back in one piece. Great Picture, can't wait for the vid, you get my vote as the most dedicated klf fan out there! The car does get incredibly hot during the day, but at night it's actually pretty cold, I have to make sure that my sleeping bag is properly zipped up......
I'm sure the car stinks to high heaven by now, ensuring that any of the police stops that occur are brief ones........

More cheeky than anything (but of course, I'm sure we all would have contributed to the car fund if you'd asked - just seeing this makes me happy, and it's not even mine LOL) - but your comments on sleeping in the car just sound like sleeping in a sweat box... best of luck LOL!

There are enough of us here - can we not fund some
££ for this poor man to get a hotel for another night or two? I'd kick in £20... consider it a down payment on the delivery of video...

Andy, we were able to get to the KSTJ building because of you - so I tip my hat to you!
