It's a best guess The location is a turning on the north side of the road (right side for east to west travelling) with in 10 miles-ish of Skara, near farm buildings. If you look at the map and turn on pictures you'll see what I meant by "looking right" Here's the two articles from the NME & Sounds. view "All sizes" and choose original to make it readable. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24992274@N00/6101848938/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/24992274@N00/6101820160/ Could be wrong, could be right but I doubt anyone really knows. Interesting! I was always led to believe that the burning took place just outside Sodertalje, which is located a few miles south of Stockholm.

After a bit of the Miss Marples I've added it to the map.
So the ritual burning of the remaining copies took place on the drive from Stockholm to Gothemburg after the non-Abba meeting failed to take place. The
NME article from October 1987 says the journey was flanked by giant lakes on both side so they took the E20. The article also mentions they were towed to Skara after the Jamsmobile got shot at by an irate Swedish farmer.
So towing distance from Skara on the E20. From flicking through panoramio pics near a dirt track and a farm I?m going to aproximate the burning took place here.

Well, James Brown of NME was there too, perhaps it's worth asking him about the details. However he may not recall all the facts after 24 years. Anyways he is currently running Sabotage Times website, here is their e-mail address: sabotage@sabotagetimes.com If this fails, one could try stalking the NME photographer Lawrence Watson: http://www.lawrencewatsonphotography.com/ Jim E.
Jim, do you think Mr Brown would grumble about all the kopyright stuff we're posting? I follow him on twitter, seems a nice chap. Andy Sent from my iPad On 4 Sep 2011, at 13:18, "Jim E." <benio1987@yahoo.com> wrote:

just don't burn any vinyl out there, especially with Ford Timelord 2 parked beside... Jim E.
If anyone has this one in reasonable quality, I'd be really greatful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnFBoCGutWs + parts 2 & 3 Was this somekind of a student project or something?
Sounds like great fun. Be careful what time of year you chose. We have an office in Helsingborg and there's certain parts of the year when nothing happens in Sweden because of the weather. Andy On 4 September 2011 20:18, Ross Jarvis <jarvmeister@gmail.com> wrote:

20,000 hits on the KLF map in a week. We are not alone... A good sign. I really should put up the Penkiln Burn and the Macmillan Hall in Newton Stewart on there. And finally set foot on Jura myself!
