I guess you did :) See below:

Hello, on the subject of the bootlegs, I did actually buy one of these CDs from that seller on ebay and was well chuffed as I havent got access to a CD burner, and it was as good quality as any other CD i have.
But you do have internet access and know from this mailinglist that the stuff sold on that CD is available freely on brandnew.co.uk. And PCs can play MP3s too, you don't HAVE to have a burner for that.
It also came with a good quality cover which I wouldnt of been able to do either, as well as some other bits n bobs. These bootlegs on ebay werent released by the KLF and due to their deleting the back catalogue its hard to get stuff by them for a decent price, in the UK anyhow. So I think its a bit bad that you people are slagging someone off for making a small bit of cash.
It IS bad since the creator of the interviews should have been contacted if someone wanted to sell his material commercially. He wasn't asking money for it on his website, but he isn't saying you can make a profit from his freely provided material either, is he?
Anyone doing stuff like this should be encouraged as they're making money for themselves not through working for tax paying scum making pointless shite, and remember its your taxes that fund wars or funding the lavish lifestyles of people who burn £1,000,000!
Wowowo! Don't start the war discussion again! It's not related to this topic at *all*! And especially don't use it as an argument to not pay taxes, that's even cheaper. And don't use *that* argument at all to defend ripping people off. You can not rip people off because you think you shouldn't pay taxes. That's as strange as you can get!
Its not that I think that was bad or anything but couldnt YOU be spending more time doing something constructive than wing! ing about someone selling a CD for a fiver. The KLF have moved on and so should you!
Who's wining now then? This is not about The KLF, but about someone ripping a mailinglist member off. That has nothing to do with The KLF.
As for the bit about David Icke, well isnt his work is a less 'fictional' version of what Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shae were saying in the Illuminatus trilogy (which is where the name 'The Jamms' came from), surely helping get information on how corrupt governments are aint a bad thing, even if you dont believe the bit about other dimensions/aliens and all that spiritual stuff, there is nothing negative about his work. If you think he's a fool then take it for entertainment value!
Ehm? Ok... (?)
Either way is it really worth taking more than 10 seconds out of your valuable life to winge about?! The shit will soon be hitting the fan and its time to define your priorities.
Ehm? Ok... (?)
note: its Sunday, I'm home sick with a flu, grumpy cos i didn't sleep properly, and similar to john, I just couldn't resist. sorry. hi all,
Hello, on the subject of the bootlegs,
I thought the subject was more "people shouldn't sell (for a profit) things they didn't make"
I did actually buy one of these CDs from that seller on ebay
our condolences to your family
and was well chuffed as I haven't got access to a CD burner,
I'm confused. you don't need a cd burner to watch the interviews. you can download it for free. don't bother starting with the 28k modem crap. if you're dedicated, you can easily dnload 2gig a month (I know this to be true cos I just got in trouble for having a 2gig+ average dnload per month) and based of your previous posts, i'd have to guess that you do have access to a burner somehow.
and it was as good quality as any other CD I have.
well you'd expect that since you're paying for it. at least the seller did some of their own work.
It also came with a good quality cover which I wouldn't of been able to do either, as well
there are plenty of programs to create these, you just need to find a good printer.
as some other bits n bobs. These bootlegs on ebay weren't released by the KLF and due to their deleting the back catalogue its hard to get stuff by them for a decent price, in the UK anyhow.
*LOL* you think its hard in the UK? try Australia, or any other country that the KLF never lived in.
So I think its a bit bad that you people are slagging someone off for making a small bit of cash.
I think we were slagging of the seller for making a profit. I have no problem with charging for costs - its only sensible after all - but making a profit on others work? not kosher.
Anyone doing stuff like this should be encouraged as they're making money for themselves not through working for tax paying scum making pointless shite,
actually, as a taxpayer, this sounds bad. it means that they're being supported by my paying of taxes. if they paid theirs, my taxes would be less.
and remember its your taxes that fund wars or funding the lavish lifestyles of people who burn £1,000,000!
um...funding wars - yeah alright. maybe. funding bill&jimi to burn a million POUNDS? none of my money was involved in that (hint: I'm the other side of the planet).
Its not that I think that was bad or anything but couldn't YOU be spending more time doing something constructive than winging about someone selling a CD for a fiver.
you missed the point. its not the cash, its the "selling others work for profit".
The KLF have moved on and so should you!
that could apply to EVERYONE on the list. why do we still have a list if we should move on?
As for the bit about David Icke, well
I have no idea who he is so skipping this bit.
Either way is it really worth taking more than 10 seconds out of your valuable life to winge about?!
yes. now to the real reason for my post - you used bloddy html. please try to use text next time ;-)
The shit will soon be hitting the fan and
probably will yes. glad I'm in Australia to be honest. its a lot further for those missiles to travel.
its time to define your priorities.
well nobody else seems to agree with my priorities, but in approx order, they currently are... no html snipping of redundant text proper use of subject headers no profiting of others work just for the record, I think I've got everything "KLF" related that the seller has for sale. if anyone can get a hdd to Melbourne, they're welcome to the lot. for nothing. no charge. no exchange of money, no exchange of anything. free. best wishes brendan sorry for the rant all. <puts on sherlock holmes hat> ps - just noticed - Simon, you posted from Toptings@hotmail.com. its a nonstandard spelling, which makes it semi-unique-ish. now if we go look at some of the comments attached to the items being sold by "Ibuyshite" on ebay.. KLF / JAMMS MIX ALBUM RARE CHECK OUT MY AUCTIONS FOR SOME MORE TOPTINGS. KLF / JAMMS BILL DRUMMOND RADIO INTERVIEW CHECK OUT MY AUCTIONS FOR SOME MORE TOPTINGS. its my deduction, based purely on two occurances of a unusual misspelling, that simon house = ibuyshite@ebay </sherlock> ******************************************* Don't worry, I'm fluent in weirdo. *******************************************

mine was - and i'm really proud that it did there's something weird about burning money - you get a strange sense of reality - afterall, it's only bits of paper - yet our whole world is reliant on them when you're down to your last 40quid 4 days before payday, try burning half of it. dunno, but it gives me a real buzz the few times i've done it -- --- "shall we drink a toast to absent minded friends, to those who turned the corner, and those who went round the bend? everybody raise your glasses, drink and down. meloncholy for the masses" have you ever smiled for too long? till you're aching have you ever laughed till you cried? - moloko -- --------------------------------------------------- -- -- illitrate Publicashions jai/at/illitrate/dot/co/dot/uk - http://www.illitrate.co.uk/ --- ------------------------------------------------- -- ---
How about a mass synchronised burning. Let's say we all burn a fiver - how much do you think we can all get through in one night? Andy

actually i thought about that later. i'm too lazy to look up the dates and confirm, but possibly the klf's percentage of the 4 * 12" records i'd bought by then may have been involved :)
when you're down to your last 40quid 4 days before payday,
thats like nearly roughly $80AU - if i had that 4 days before payday I'd be laughing at how rich i was *L*
dunno, but it gives me a real buzz the few times i've done it
personally, to get a buzz i'd rather spend cash, not burn cash. while it equates to probably the same thing, i dont think i could deliberately burn cash. cheers brendan
