Any better WTIL Acid Mix recordings out there?
Hey all - I've been revisiting my KLF collection over the last few weeks and wonder if a better sounding recording of WTIL (acid mix) has surfaced. I love this mix but always felt the version from Lost Sounds of Mu sounded poor. (I see it's also on Dutton's Arkive set - Is that the same recording? I had forgotten about that one. I assume it is as I would have selected the better of the two for my listening library) It looks like a few copies have surfaced over recent years (some that aren't bootlegs even) and wonder if any of these sound better. The bootlegs might even sound better - IIRC there was still open debate if the Love Trance 12" was legit, but the WTIL Monster Attack Mix version on the B is definitely of better quality than what was available previously. For some reason I stopped receiving emails from this list several years ago tho I still seem to be a member. I assume any replies will appear on the KLF Online forum. -paul PS In a similar vein, does anyone know who did the Different Project remixes back in 1997? I still enjoy that 10m WTIL mega mix and wonder if a version better than 128kps can be had.
I could certainly pull out my 'only ever played once' vinyl and do a descent rip... Give me a few days as i'm currently sorting records in spare room Sent from KITT On 1 Jul 2011, at 23:06, TheMgnt@aol.com wrote:

Hi Paul, Good luck with your search! The Different Project mixes are great (especially the WTIL megamix) although I haven't listened to them in a while. They must have been one of the first things I downloaded when I first got my own personal web access, off of WinMX I think (to go back a bit ... ) John On Fri, Jul 1, 2011 at 11:06 PM, <TheMgnt@aol.com> wrote:

Hi, I've just heard the version from the "Recovered & Remastered" EP and it's crap. The bassdrum is flat now as someone has set the de-clicker to the highest possible level and the noise reduction also seems to have been set to max. So if anyone is out there who could do a perfect and clean rip as WAV or AIFF that would be perfect. No de-noising or de-clicking needed at that point. I would rather have some vinyl noise in it than a file that has been reborn as a flat sound monster. ;-) Cheers, Danny --- a.k.a.
