This original edition of the Space CD seems to be going for a lot of money!
However - I can't help noticing that my copy is identical, right down to the PDO matrix number underneath the CD on the silver side (and has "SPACE" written on the underside of the CD inlay case, as discussed in a previous thread a few months ago) ... BUT rather than being black writing on a red background on the CD itself (as featured in the e-bay scan), mine has a black background with red writing (saying "SPACE" and listing the planets in a circle).
Mine is not a bootleg, and I suspect this seller's isn't either. So - were there two editions, one red on black, and one black on red? Does anyone have both?

hi john, i seem to have an original too but i only paid £30 for mine about 3 months ago.....why is this one on ebay going for so much? i've got the space white label on 12" in a paper sleeve (Not Generic sleeve A / B) and no-one even placed a bid on it, yet i was offered £150 for it from a dealer in central london as he had some-one after it as it's so rare. i can't even remember the shop is.... lol.

Wizard Ive got the White Label in Generic sleeve which is then again put into the original cover with a A4 promo insert sheet, never had it valued, you got any clue on price 150? Kristian

I have the same promo (with generic sleeve, pic sleeve and 'distribution girl' sheet) and I figure it is worth real money. It seems legit as pic sleeve seems perfect unlike the shoddy bootleg, and the label is that weird off-white-peach colour with '33 rpm' written in big red pen, much like other promos. Might try it on eBay soon with a pretty high reserve price. I have the 'Distribution Girl' sheet in my Standard release LP of Space. I thought mine was unique until I read your mail. Does anyone know how many 'Distribution Girl' sheet's there were? Just to verify, is yours on two sheets of dot-matrix paper, numbered pages 2 and 3 ? Andrew -- Powered by Linux Slackware 9.1 / KDE 3.2.1 / XFree86 4.4.0 MSN: euperia3000@hotmail.com ICQ: 132467430
No, mine is a poor photocopy of one dot-matrix sheet half of which concentrates on Space and the other half on 008R. I can't remember if both parts mention DG but I can check this. Andrew McCombe <andrew@euperia.com> wrote:

XL-records will be re-releasing some of their old stuff, among this "funky zulu-remix" by moody boys (with cauty), which will be out the 5 of august (info from playground-records, the danish distributers). "Where evil lurks" by Prodigy is set for the same day. Ulrik Brandt
Wondering if anybody else who sent xdollarx.co.uk an email about ordering the X$X promos has heard anything yet? I'd expressed interest in ordering the lot months ago and got an email saying 'WAIT'. Now I've heard from someone else that he's had further instructions which sounds like the return of that legendary non-disclosure business. To maximise my chances of getting some X$X, I'll say no more but invite off-list discussion at the usual address. The xdollarx group is down by the way and what the hell is going on at www.michaelk.co.uk and www.xdollarx.co.uk Answers, please, in a tin which should be buried in your back garden. One of the underground X$X agents will contact you shortly. Confused? You should be ;_) Ray --------------------------------- ALL-NEW Yahoo! Messenger - sooooo many all-new ways to express yourself
