Re: Re: [KLF] john peel's record collection
Of course, it could have been KLF8R, thinking on it, rather than KLF 5T. The barcode was pink and white rather than black and white ... True music obsessiveness in the spirit of Peel, I hope! John

the john peel documentary is on tv in britain just now and john milne has just phoned me to point out that the original pink 12" of 3am eternal is sitting prominently (and upside down!) on saint peel's desk...

John Peel was one of the few radio One DJs who supported the KLF before the stadium house explosion. He was quite put out that although he'd had first play of everything prior to 3am, Mark Goodyear got first play on 3AM Eternal. I know Scott had to placate him somehow. There was, and still is a HUGE ammount of kudos associated with "first play". I've also got a very vague feeling the Echo and the Bunnymen remix of WTIL was done for Peel but I could be very wrong. Andy PS John if you ever want to know what a "99" is you'll have to call me, I'll never write it down. I still find it slightly shocking. ----- Original Message ----- From: John Milne To: simon.howat@amc.com ; All bound for Mu-Mu Land.
