I'll try sending this a third time and hopefully it'll get through. Awhile ago (maybe even a few years) I think someone posted a link to a "bootleg ID" guide for JAMs/KLF releases. I recently acquired another copy of 1987 today and even though I'm almost positive it's unique I know with a number of releases there are a few tiny things like certain ink colours or small words blanked out on the label that constitute a bootleg. Does anyone have this list/site/whatever around? - necco
Quickest way to tell a "1987" boot is to look for the mis-spelling on the inner label. Can't remember exactly where it was, but a stray '9' crept in somewhere down the left-hand side.
