Or "on topIC" even! There is actually an interesting history of musical pranksters (like BD himself) within Scotland, going back at least two centuries. A collection of ancient Gaelic poems and songs were "discovered" (and much-loved by people like Byron) called "Ossian", which were in actual fact written in the 1790s by a struggling poet called James MacPherson.
