Re: [KLF] Deep Shit (was: Ultimate rarity?)
But - as far as I know - the MP3s must have come from another recording as we didn't spread it in the net.
As far as I remember those mp3s surfaced long before I even knew about the trip of Jens and Torsten, as they were available for download on some website (with a blue background I think). I doubt that the owner of "our" Deep Shit 12" uploaded these, so yes, there are at least two copies around. My guessing finger would tend to point towards either Pete Robinson or Tim Richards, but then again, I could be horribly wrong. And I guess I am. Oh, and to throw in another rarity: The Orb's remix of IGUN which apparently was played in an Orb live set in the mid-90s. At least one list member reportedly heard it, although I wouldn't count that really as confirmed. I can already see it: "The Extremely Lost Sounds Of Mu"... :-) ..::// Thomas
affraid i'll have to rule myself out of this one thomas i havent even heard the the mp3 downloads referred to the closest thing i ever came to what i thought could have possibly been the deep shit track was incorporated into the 1998 soundtrack for the M25 spin the track kicked off with a voice [i believe was Jimmys] saying something like "ok you can use this but no additional production" the track that kicked in then had a whole bunch of samples from JAMS LP1 and JAMS LP2 era along with a ranting rap from Bill i hadnt heard before as well as an unknown female voice talking about Aleister Crowley, the illuminati, the real justified ancients of mu mu and psychic communication via the pineal gland... The track wasn't very long and off course there were a whole load of other musical talents who had a hand in that soundtrack [MAD, Andy Robinson, Dave Green, Kevin Dean and of course Dragon] any of whom could have put it together themselves sorry if all this just serves to muddy the waters somewhat but i have long believed that the deep shit track at best only ever made it as far as jimmys vast archive of work in progress and the comic and associated flexi disc never got beyond their "to do" list a very simple litmus test would be to ask Andy Lee if he has ever seen a flexi... it would beggar belief that if they had produced 500 flexi discs that one wouldnt have been given to Scott! as always... love peace and happiness tim ----- Original Message ----- From: <thomas@klf.de> To: "KLF Mailing List" <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 4:06 PM Subject: Re: [KLF] Deep Shit (was: Ultimate rarity?)
