Bill Drummond's "How To Be An Artist"... some questions. When? Where? What? Who? although I suspect the "why?" will be obvious. Stuart. -- Stuart Bruce - klf@atomiser.demon.co.uk or preferably stuart@atomiser.demon.co.uk The Utah Saints Mailing List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utahsaints/

what's that? a book?
I believe so. When the news breaks about this, remember where you heard it first. <grin>
isn't the answer to, "why?" always, "becuse"?
Only when it's not "why not" or "I don't know"... Stuart. -- Stuart Bruce - klf@atomiser.demon.co.uk or preferably stuart@atomiser.demon.co.uk The Utah Saints Mailing List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utahsaints/

Incidently, has anyone read any of Mark Manning's other books, namely (asterisks here just in case people have content barriers on their ISP's): F**ked by Rock (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1840680261/ref=pd_sim_b_dp/202-391 5025-9869459) "Book Description Hailed by The Cult's Ian Astbury as 'the biggest thing this century' when they exploded into existence in 1986, Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction were the most outrageous rock band on the planet, sex- and drug-driven metal mayhem drenched in leather, fur, and psychedelic swastika chic. Zodiac himself was incarnated by former comic illustrator and self-confessed acid casualty, Mark Manning. In 'F***ed by Rock', his official autobiography, Manning recalls astonishing, often shocking, and frequently hilarious episodes and events from a decade of debauchery, derangement and brain-damaging excess. Illustrated throughout, 'F***ed by Rock' is the ultimate rock'n'roll testament, a scream from post-rock purgatory. With an introduction by Bill Drummond of the KLF and K Foundation. Synopsis Exploding on to the music scene in 1986, Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction were the most outrageous rock band on the planet, sex- and drug-driven metal mayhem drenched in fur, leather and skulls. Mark Manning (aka Zodiac Mindwarp) recalls (with difficulty) astonishing, often shocking and hilarious episodes and events." Get your c**k out (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1840680342/ref=pd_sim_b_dp/202-391 5025-9869459) "Sex, violence, sex, rock and roll, sex, and more violence, 17 May, 2000 Mark Manning, known as the loveable Zodiac Mindwarp to most people who remember, treats us to a tender love story about a sex starved teen age groupie and the trials and tribulations she has with her 45 year old rock god boyfriend, and the jealous rival bandleader who tries to take her away. Great cameos by Bill Drummond, Zodiac Mindwarp, and even Steven Wells. I had to have this imported to the United States as no "decent" bookstore would carry it here. THAT should tell you something! " Crucify Me Again (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1899598146/ref=pd_sim_b_dp/202-391 5025-9869459) "...great!, 10 April, 2000 Reviewer: Neill Tupman This is the one that I've been waiting for! A full-on account of the man Z's frazzled psyche, his evil ways and motivations. An honest, funny, disturbing and worrying account to the Edge. "Bad Wisdom" (co-authored with Bill Drummond) gave us a taster, but "Crucify Me Again" tells the tale in full. Read this book. " All sound incredibly sick... Must get round to buying them at some point!! ;->> l8rs, Nick ;-)

Good, but disturbingly underplayed -his writing style isn't as great as he thinks it is. If you really want a tale of Rock N Roll excess then go for THE DIRT by Motley Crue. Some copies have a four track CD of Zodders 2001 new songs.

Dreary I'm afraid, an endless tide of excrement, groupies, and crap wrapped up in a juvenile plot. Sorry y'all. Bad Wisdom does it best. Mark
