Can anyone tell me the tracklisting for Pure Trance 5? Oh and did anyone catch the auction on ebay where this guy is trying to pass off a repress as an original PT5? He even scanned the record and put a picture of it on. Now someone correct me if i'm wrong but the repress is the only one with the little word REMIX at the top right corner right? I emailed him about it and he claims that its not his record but his brothers and that he was there when his brother bought it 4 years ago. Hope some poor sucker doesnt end up with an expensive boot. Thanks for any help on the tracklisting. Doc
No. I understand that you need to check the vinyl label to determine if a PT5 is a booty or not. I have two copies of PT5, one with quite a tatty sleeve, one almost mint. Both are absolutely identical and, as far as I can tell, are originals. Look on the centre label - if the track names are ALL in italics then it's a bootleg; the originals have "Remix" in italics and "1" and "2" in plain font. HTH Chris

There's also no evidence so far to point to *any* of these being warped - some think it's a rumour spread around to increase the value of this release.

There isn't really a track listing for Pure Trance 5, it's simply "Remix 1" on the A side and "Remix 2" on the B side. This is, of course, for KLF008R (the Pink/Black one). No-one really seems clear what's on KLF008T, or if it actually exists... Thanks to Miles I'm now the proud owner of "KLF8R", the w/l promo for KLF008R. For those of you interested, it came in a generic sleeve (the earlier/A type), the centre labels are a cream colour and are both completely blank. The runouts have KLF 8R A 1 PR P and KLF 8R B 1 PR P handwritten on them. As far as I can tell, the tracks are identical to the picture sleeve issue. It's also unwarped... Chris

the dj report says: Last train to etc 8R More from the forthcoming motion picture the white room Both the A and the B are radical remixes of the original which is yet to see the light of day. The A side is so literal it may be totally unlistenable to anybody who is neither a freight train enthusiast or flat on their backs and out of their heads. you have been warned The B side is the KLF back in their pure trance, crashing the millenium, leaving it's predecessors 'what time is love' and '3AM Eternal' in the debris of the late eighties. Dance music for the more foolhardy D.J. the one willing to risk watching his/her floor clear at the sound of lost sheep bleating in the wilderness. No reaction required. Yeah, somehow I don't think B&J had much say in what went into those. The one from CHOC ICE 3 is just as bad...

i think they did, this one i think is direct from them as it says what t shirts are available at the top etc. phrases like:
which is yet to see the light of day.
