Maybe some of you know of this, but i havent seen this written before.
I have a 12 inch by Rhythm device by Frank De Wulf out on the Music man label. Theres a track called Higher destiny 5,44 mins that contains the kraftwerk loop used in WTIL and also the " record stop " sample used in WTIL 3 min version.
If anyone wants to hear it i can encode that section of the track as an mp3 and mail it to you. The notes within the track also bear a close resembalance to the main melody/hook used in WTIL. The other side Dream Trance 4,54 mins has some very similiar building blocks in its breakdowns as those used in WTIl.
This record came out 1989 at some point cant remeber the exact date. i bought it in 1989 and have had it ever since. We listend to it the otherday and we noticed this stuff.
Did the Klf sample this or was it the other way about ? Is this part of a missing sample list. Are there more out there ?
Best
