Anyone for a beer before hand?
Definitely I'll be 100 yds from the Barbican all night anyway (I am most fridays) so I'd be up for meeting before hand.
Right then. Somebody who knows the area suggest a good pub, and if possible give some simple directions from a tube station. A good pub might be better and cheaper than the Barbican bar? I guess people might be able to turn up at all sorts of different times so should we just suggest, come to the pub any time between (say) 5pm, and whenever it's time to go to the event? Come out of Barbican tube, cross the road and head down the tunnel that leads directly away from the tube. The Barbican's on your right at the end of the tunnel. Dead simple. Pub I'll let you know ... There's a pub (the kings head? three kings? I'll check later) that's ok and is 20yds from the barbican entrance (well, the entrance we'll be using if it's in the same part as the 2K gig was) it will be full of city folk on a friday night, but you'll be hard-pressed to avoid that anywhere near there on a friday (except my grotty local, which is always empty nowadays) Jon -- "Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and most of them are full of shit." - Robert A.
