Important Copyright Information
When you write copy you have the right to copyright the copy you write, if the copy is right. If however, your copy falls over, you must right your copy. If you write religious services you write rite, and have the right to copyright the rite you write. Very conservative people write right copy, and have the right to copyright the right copy they write. A right wing cleric would write right rite, and has the right to copyright the right rite he has the right to write. His editor has the job of making the right rite copy right before the copyright can be right. Should Wright decide to write right rite, then Wright would write right rite, which Wright has the right to copyright. Duplicating that rite would copy Wright's right rite, and violate copyright, which Wright would have the right to right. Hi Raymond, great text! :) Do you have too much time to spend on such things? Although I have never found a better description for copyright anywhere else! Respect, man. On the CD single for "After The Love" by Jesus Loves You, there is an Orbital remix. Was this done by the Orb (keeping in mind that B+J sampled it on Chill Out) or Orbital? _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! From Lazlo's discography:
Before Orbital made a name for themselves, The Orb used to call some of their remixes "orbital mixes". Here are a few such mixes, none of which are remixed by Orbital: Delcon: Superjack (orbital infusion 2000) Depeche Mode: Happiest Girl (pulsating orbital mix) Depeche Mode: Happiest Girl (pulsating orbital vocal mix) Erasure: Ship of Fools (orbital southsea isle of holy beats) Jesus Loves You: After The Love (orbital house mix) The KLF: 3am Eternal (blue danube orbital) Marathon: Love Park (pianopella orbital remix) Marathon: Love Park (we got love orbital remix) Marathon: Movin' (orbital ambientapella live mix) The Orb: Loving You (orbital mix) The Orb: A Huge Ever Growing Remix (orbital dance mix) The Orb: A Huge Ever Growing Remix (orbital radio mix) Stewart/Dulfer: Lily Was Here (orbital space lab mix) Sun Electric: O'Locco (orbital therapy mixes) The orbital house mix sounds a bit like the 118bpm Downtown remix. If there would be more text on the CD, I wouldn't ask... There are NO liner notes on this CD, only the brief infos inthe CD itself. Inside the cover it's plain white. It's a 1989 3-track CD, in a surprisingly good condition, original. Or I hope so. Note that in the WR movie, where B+J are driving around, there is a drumloop which sounds similar to the After The Love-loop. Yesterday I was messing around with the tracks, put an old track upon the After.. track and the result is nearly the loop shich can be heard in the movie, so that's why I'm curious. Let's see: B+J "dissed" Boy George on 1987 ("Number 1 this week: Boy George!" "Fuck that, listen to the JAMs!"), then Jimmy and Alex remixed After The Love in 1989, and right after that Chill Out came out, which has that After The Love sample. It's too much to be just a coincidence. a Gyerek
Neither... Forget who actually remixed it, but it's apparently expanded upon in the liner notes to the 12"/CD5?

hi folks. it has nothing to do with either Orbital or The Orb. back in the day (god, i feel old), the UK rave scene revolved around/near the M25 motorway - which is also known as the "london orbital motorway", as it circles london. "jesus loves you" were part of the rave scene at the time, and the mix name refers to the motorway (which is also how orbital got their name too, afaik). cheers, --- Smiley

Of course I know about the Orbital raves. Check out what I wrote earlier. KLF "namechecked" Boy George on "1987", then in 89 the ORIGINAL After Ther Love drumloop appears in the WR movie, in 90 they sample After The Love, plus the Orbital Remix drumloop sounds EXACTLY like DownTown...it's TOO much to be a coincidence...

hi folks.
it has nothing to do with either Orbital or The Orb.
back in the day (god, i feel old), the UK rave scene revolved around/near the M25 motorway - which is also known as the "london orbital motorway", as it circles london.
"jesus loves you" were part of the rave scene at the time, and the mix name refers to the motorway (which is also how orbital got their name too, afaik).
cheers,

On the CD single for "After The Love" by Jesus Loves You, there is an Orbital remix. Was this done by the Orb (keeping in mind that B+J sampled it on Chill Out) or Orbital?

The mix ws not done by the KLF - Jesus Loves You themselves remixed and produced the track.... What it looks like happened is that the KLF sampled "After The Love" (released in 1989), which is why the drumloops sound the same? L8rs, Nick ;-)

Yes, but Down Town (which has that thumping rhythm similar to the Orbital Remix) was recorded in 1987, and that JLY track came out in 1989... Plus, Boy George mentions a rave where KLF played (cited in: Once In a Lifetime, The Crazy Days Of Acid House and Afterwards). Anyway, tonight I'll upload the track (if it's not already on the server) and those who interested can decide if it's KLF-related, or we who believe in the JLY/KLF collaboration are all April Fools...

Another KLF-related mix by Hell On Steele Wheelz called Years Of Fire And Genocide, is in the HomeMadeMixes folder. Plus I uploaded the older track Song About The Musicloving Captain, because I couldn't find it. If it's already up there somewhere, it may be deleted. _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar - get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/
