From: "Stuart Bruce" <Stuart.Bruce@FameAcademy.endemoluk.com> spouted: People subscribed to receive every message seperately (which I think is = probably the majority) can set whether they receive HTML-enabled or = HTML-removed e-mails.
dear me, I didn't think there would ever be any KLF news that one needed to know NOW. Especially in the present climate. Poor people.
There are other benefits to receiving individual posts over a digest, besides getting e-mails 'immediately'. Getting individual posts makes it easier to sift through them for the ones you actually want to read, easier to filter out messages from people you can't be bothered to read messages from (or filter out "[FTP]" messages- but that's never gonna really work is it?), keep the messages you might reply to later whilst deleting the rest, etc. etc.
People who receive the digest, can't change this setting.
Thats a bummer, seing as it them or rather us who have to trawl through it all in a big line.
I'm afraid I do not feel your pain.
Since digest readers are probably in the minority and are already = resigned to sifting through messages anyway, it's unlikely that a = consensus could be reached to avoid HTML on this list.
Well not sending it would be a start, as has often been said, there is no reason to send html email. ever.
Well, the fact that every time I log on at work my settings have been changed back to Rich Text, and I can't be bothered to change that setting every day since this is the only list I'm complains about it (I'm mostly on Yahoo Groups lists, which have better controls over whether you want HTML or plain text messages). So the simple solution is that I'll just unsubscribe from this list, on the grounds that the shit-to-interest ratio on this list is now far too high to be worth bothering with. Thank you and goodbye.
