I can remember in the good old days when we had to buy things called records and cds and pay (sometimes lost of) money for them. Life must be so dull now that you only have to visit a fan run ftp site and download all this stuff for free. Where's the fun in that?
In this case, considering you can't visit a shop and buy Shag Times, and also since the CD is one of those that is known to have laser-rot and working copies are becoming more and more scarce, maybe it's not such a big deal. I don't think it would be much fun to find a used copy of Shag Times, lay out some big money for it, only to find it's too deteriorated to play. Then there's the whole K and L of KLF, but that's another issue altogether. I think most of the fans on this list would love to be able to walk into a store and buy a copy of WTIL Story or WKTJ on a pristine, crystal-clear CD. But it's not like we have that option. Maybe it doesn't bother me much because I bought my copy of Shag Times for $4 from a store that thought it was an EP. If I'd forked out $50 or so (which I believe I sold it for many years ago) I might be a little irritated. Who knows... jr
