This has been mentioned before, but has it been explained? Does anyone know *why* Mark Manning heckled during the first ten minutes and stormed out, and what he actually said? Was it part of the performance, or just a joke, or are Bill & Mark not on good terms any more? Anyone know?
I can't remmeber too well now, but the gist of it was "bollocks" and "aaaah, shuttup" when Bill was talking all seriously and trying to present his case about peace and love and artists having a responsibility to make the world a better place. He didn't say much, only 3-4 remarks, the last of which was "oh, for fuck's sake, i went to fucking africa with ya man, [why've I got to listen to this?)" (not sure about the bit in brackets, like i said, can't remember too well) - with which he stood up and walked out. I think he was making noise banging his metal-tipped walking cane on the floor as well. I didn't realise he'd dropped a glass, probably thought it was his stick again. his new zen stick maybe? :-) I don't think it was an indication they're not on good terms. Either it was staged, or Z just didn't think a lot of the concept and didn't want to listen (i reckon the latter - he's never claimed to be patient and tolerant) hope that helps j -- "Everybody understands Mickey Mouse.
