The answer probably lies with whomever 'owns' the content of the bootleg.
Record companies patrol eBay diligently, looking for signs of infraction.
The enigma (to me, at least) is "why now?"

klf.de was
                  closed down yesterday after Marco received a cease and
                  desist letter for selling a (bootleg?) CD on eBay.
                  Torsten then decided to take our homepage offline for
                  the time being. All download links have been deleted
                  and the website and its contents are under major
