Yup, Jimmy's tune sounds like a straight remix of the theme to the 1969 movie "The Love Bug" to me. I would also think that Jimmy, with his love of anthromorphic American cars will number on them, may well have had a soft spot for Herbie when he was a kid! Oh, and Simon, a quick shufty round Google should show up a few "Red Hand Gang" facts, and even the theme tune as an mp3 (thanks to TV Cream). My memories of it are hazy (check here for other people's similar recollections: http://www.culttelly.co.uk/rhgmem.html) but I do recall one character (called Peter?) who used to whistle tunes through a hollowed out sweet potato. And, of course, that the show was very popular in Ulster. John

Not sure about Jimmy's contributions to 'Herbie'....are they variations of the original theme? And does anyone remember the Red Hand Gang? =)
