Funy I've had just the opposite thought. Getting rid of all my vinyl exept my KLF (and a couple of other choice artists.) Also sounds like a lossless audio archive project to me. Mind you with DVDrs being so cheap it wouldn't be too bad as waves or (AC3 as I've been playing with recently) 5.1 Space is great! Mmmm I can feel the rumble in my sub Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Peel" <chris@k23productions.com> To: "'All bound for Mu-Mu Land.'" <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 9:25 PM Subject: RE: [KLF] Contemplating sale of KLF Vinyl- Advice please
I had my hand forced recently when I had a fair number of items stolen. Sadly, I'd taken some of my rarer items to a DJ friend's house and he was burgled while we were out. He came off much worse, losing a large amount of equipment (what they couldn't carry they chucked down the stairs), but I lost the records I'd brought with me (including the PT3 and PT4 sleeves which were being used to house a black JAMS28T (yep, the black version of the grey one) and one of my KLF 92 PROMO 3's.
I can't offer you a solution to your dilemma either I'm afraid, however I can certainly see the merits in simply putting it all onto CDR/MiniDisc/iPod and then selling the lot. Certainly, if you're looking for a good (and now much more secure) home for some of your collection let me know as I'm in the market again for some rarities!
Chris
