My server is up and running..... :)
Do you not realise that putting all those extra brackets will render peoples' filters useless, or are you just being a [useless person]?
Ahum? This filter catches if flawlessly:
/.*?\[.*?FTP.*?\].*/i
Oh, for crying out loud. Let's not turn this into a "my {probably Linux based} email program is better than yours" fight, but obviously not everybody's program can do Regular Expression matching. Some of those program that can do complicated matching probably can't render HTML, and we compensate for them by making this a "no HTML" list. It's a little thing called "consensus". The fact that the list itself uses a plain old "[KLF]" should have been enough of an indicator to RMS that he should just use "[FTP]", but instead he decided to be a bit of a smart-arse. Whether he realised that this would stuff a lot of filters is something I'm still willing to give him the benefit of doubt for... just. To make it clear for the new people who have joined the list recently: * Keep posts (reasonably) on-topic. (I.e. Somehow KLF or Bill or Jimmy related.) * Mark off-topic posts with "[OT]" somewhere in your subject line. * Mark questions or statements about RMStringer's (or anyone else's) FTP site with "[FTP]" somewhere in your subject line. * Don't post in HTML. * Don't post excessive messages on stuff you have for sale. It's not a lot of "rules" to follow, people. Now, to quote Jack Nicholson, "Why can't we all just get along?" Michael
