Paul pondered:

>The Black and White one was the original promo cd, I think.  IIRC there were a handful of these made.  I am prepared to be proven wrong.  Perhaps tim would know.<

not to the best of my knowledge... the echo beach cd has a blurred and uncorroborated legitimacy but did appear in various high street record stores throughout the uk in the same week as the 2k single... the black and white one was an obvious cd-r burn which appeared predominantly at record fairs and online a few weeks after the echo beach cd had disappeared

>Also in the IIRC file, the Waiting for the Rights of Mu (sic)  -- heheh -- was semi official.  I believe Jimmy gave permission for it to be used but I seem to recall Bill didn't and was the one threatening the lawsuit and all at the time.  It was certainly sold at legit CD shops like Virgin and HMV at the time, but they all went very quickly and could not be reordered.<

as said... blurred & uncorroborated... but there does appear to be a strong association... as well as the martha and the muffins tribute cd black star liner also appear on echo beach and their yemen cutta connection cd [ECHO BEACH 035] features jimmy's remix
