I think you might be thinking of 'The Cardinal and the Copse', the same bunch's (Sinclair, Petit, McKean, Matthews, & the same producer I think offhand) earlier film. That has Moore in it, being spooky. No KLF connection in that film or the later one, Asylum, though.
