Don't know if any of you have heard a new compilation that's out. THE DEFINITIVE ELECTRO @ HIP HOP COLLECTION on universal-street sounds has just landed on my player and you have to give it a whirl. Compiled by MORGAN KHAN of the STREET SOUNDS label and STREET SCEINE magazine it's a pure retro ride of classic old school hip hop and early electro outings. Can't believe it's 20 years since i started getting my mits on these compilations ( worth a real packet according to the sleeve notes ) Even the mixing, by DJ SWERVE, is done in an exiting chop up style of the era. I must be getting old but it all still sounds like the makers of the individual tunes sounded like they where having 'fun'. No comparison to the current r@b, hip hop shit we are bombarded with on most radio stations today. Sorry for gettin' carried away with that. Lend it your ears, LET THE MUSIC PLAY. ENJOY, JEZ.
