I like the grey vinyl version (the KLF mix?) partly because of Pete Wylie's sullen vocals and also the harsher, tinny production. But the full 10 mins "Part 1" of the 1991 mix is probably in my top three of all B & J's tracks. And the Morris dancers on Top of the Pops was their high point in TV appearances, I think!
In the end, I think "IGUN" is the one Bill and Jimmy track which has a crystal clear concept - and doesn't rely upon listeners knowing about either their history or the "Illuminatus" trilogy. It must be the only B&J song to have not one but THREE parodies of it (Living Carpets, Hardcore Outlaws and the Mad Jocks).
